Re: Thermally sensitive stuff

I've got a bunch of coffee cups that use something similar. My
favorite has a picture of Pangaea until you pour the coffee in and
then the continents drift. Don't know how it works but I do know that
the stuff is somewhat light sensitive too. Unless you keep your
coffee cups in a dark place, eventually they won't work anymore. I've
got one that I left half in shade for a long time so only half of it
works. This has joys of its own.

Hi;

Someone just showed me something that I've not seen and don't have an
explanation for. You know those cards that you rub off with a coin that you
get at fast food places that tell you youv'e won a coke or something? I saw
one today that is heat sensitive, you hold it or blow on it and it becomes
transperant for a while, revealing writting underneath. I suppose it is
similar to those liquid crystal thermal sheets that show your hand print
when you put your hand on them. The person who showed it to me was an
artist and wanted to know if there was a source for the material or a way
to make it. Does anyone have a resource for this they can point me too?
