For those of you within driving distance of Pensacola: Dr. J. Robert
Schrieffer, 1972 Nobel prize winner in physics, along with Bardeen and
Cooper for invention of the BCS theory of superconductivity, currently
head of the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory in Tallahassee, will
visit the campus of the University of West Florida on Friday, February 7.
He will give a talk on "Novel Concepts in Condensed Matter Physics" at
3:00 pm in Building 36, Room 191.
