Physics Position Available:

Fort Hays State University has a tenure track assistant professorship
available, to start August, 1997. The University seeks an experimental Ph.D.
physicist with broad intellectual interests and a strong commitment to
teaching and research involving undergraduates. Commitment to diversity and
working in a multicultural setting is highly desirable. We prefer a
candidate with a background in electronics or electrical engineering and a
working knowledge of telecommunications technologies and the associated
electronic systems in order to develop and teach one or more courses dealing
with analog and digital point-to-point transmission systems and basic
network design for students in the Information Networking and
Telecommunications department. Applicants should submit a current c.v. and a
letter describing past experience, teaching philosophy, thoughts on recent
research in physics education, and plans for undergraduate involvement in
research. Arrangements should be made to have three letters of
recommendation sent to Professor Roger A. Pruitt, Fort Hays State
University, 600 Park St., Hays, KS 67601. Review of applications will begin
