I assume that the Principia was written in Latin; is there a "standard"
translation to English??? Citation???

I'm currently reading parts of it for an essay on Newton. I feel
embarrassed that I've not delved into it before now.

As I understand it the Mott translation published in 1729 was approved by
the 'old man' himself. I guess that's about as official as one can get.
