Re: bio/geo/math/chemical-physicist

You ought to think about a physicist/astronomer. There is lots of
interest in astronomy courses, and that combination of credentials
is pretty common.

Colleagues;

Our campus is getting some new tenure track faculty positions. I want to
argue for a shared position in physics with some other field like math or
chemistry (probably the only way I'll get a second physicist on this campus
in the near future). Is anyone out there doing this or has tried this or
have any ideas they can share with me about this? We have no physics degree
but do have degrees in chemistry, math, biology, computer science. Can
anyone point me to information/data about physics related niche markets
(bio/geo/math/chemical-physics)?
