web delivery of electronics courses

My head-of-department has just asked me to write a grant submission
to seek funds to develop a flexible, web-based course on electronics,
for students who enter our course at odd times, are part-timers or
have timetable clashes, etc. The existing lecture course is for both
instrumental science and electrical engineering students, and uses
Maddock and Clacutt, "Electronics for Engineers".

Can anyone point me to a good electronics text that comes with a CD
which is useful for this sort of thing? I've seen a couple in introductory
physics and astronomy, but I haven't taught in electronics for a
while.

We would also want to incorporate a simulation package (but
we will have real lab. too!) and Electronic Workbench springs to
mind, but any other suggestions would be useful too.

Thanks, please send any replies directly to mmazzolini@swin.edu.au
to avoid list congestion.
