This sounds as if the administration has received a grant to make this new
panacea available and now expects you to figure out how to use it. I wish it
were the other way around.
I have a page that I put together for students to explore, if interested. (
stega.smoky.org/~kfox/Physics.html) I have incorporated some astronomy
issues into my General Physics class so as to intrigue them into further
study. For the intro high school level Physics, I have found little that I
can build curriculum around and still do a credible job of what I think
should be happening in the High School.
One issue that makes or breaks using the net as a curriclar tool is access.
Will you have access at will for a large number of students? Without easy
access you are in trouble. Will the access be maintained and reliable? We
have found that students, under good supervision, do a wonderful job on ours.

I hope others will join in this discussion. Should we use the net as a
textbook? as a source of data for "finding out"? as a communication tool? How
can we help each other find "level appropriate" material?
