POSITION: Instructor/Assistant Professor in physics. One-year
temporary appointment begins August 19, 1996 with workshop for
new faculty. Academic year ends May 4, 1997.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach one course in introductory algebra-based
physics, one course in introductory astronomy, and the concomitant
laboratories each semester.
QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. or near completion in physics or
astronomy. Emphasis on excellence in teaching and sympathy with
the mission of a church related liberal arts college affiliated
with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
COMPENSATION: Comensurate with experience and qualifications.
Minimum $32,000 for Ph.D.
