Re: A Simple Radio Circuit

The reception of radio signals by fillings in the teeth may or may not be an
urban myth. The posibility exists because the amalgam is a conductor
separated from the nerve endings in the tooth by an interface of some sort.
It is possible that the interface acts as a diode and the amalgam of the
filling acts as an antenna. Possible, but I would like to see it documented
somewhere.

I am reminded of one case when I *did* hear an unexpected AM
radio broadcast. Years ago I was fiddling with a 16mm projector,
where a light shines through the soundtrack onto a reflective
drum, and reflects into a photocell. Well, the broadcast from a
local AM station was distinctly, though faintly, audible through
the loudspeaker. I never did find out what the mechanism was.
