Re: Sci Fi example

For those who keep track of such things there is an interesting
part of a recent so-so science fiction book. The book is
Book #4 Clark's Law in the Babylon 5 series
by Jim Mortimore
-
On pages 80 to 85 there is a reasonable description of a collision between
two massive objects moving with small relative velocity in outer space.

This is a pretty good series for at least trying to get the science
right. I recall that they actually have a decent depiction of
spacecraft movement. It would be interesting to contrast this in a
class with the "P51 on steroids" approach to spaceship flight from
Star Wars.
