You can define it to be an absolute standard of rest but as for
reference frames, all are equivalent. The form of the laws of physics
is the same in this frame as in any other though the specific
description of the evolution of the universe may be simpler just as
most every physical problem has a coordinate system that makes the
analysis simplest. In that sense, every problem has a preferred
coordinate system but that does not mean that you could not work it
in a different one and still get the same result.


Since it is possible to measure the velocity of the earth with respect
to the 3 K blackbosy radiation left over from the big bang, why
cannot one use it as the basis for an absolute reference frame?
